Fox News Contributor and Democratic Strategist Kirsten Powers responds on FoxNews.com to President Obama‘s recent jab at the network:
Whether you are liberal or conservative, libertarian, moderate or politically agnostic, everyone should be concerned when leaders of our government believe they can intentionally try to delegitimize a news organization they don’t like.
In fact, if you are a liberal – as I am – you should be the most offended, as liberalism is founded on the idea of cherishing dissent and an inviolable right to freedom of expression.
That more liberals aren’t calling out the White House for this outrageous behavior tells you something about the state of liberalism in America today.
Obama said in a recent interview with The New Republic that elected Republicans are “punished” by Fox News when they act in a bipartisan way.

Jan. 29, 2013 at 3:23pmIt appears that Kirsten is just a little out of date. Liberal in the 50′s meant that you favor free speech and the right of people to rule themselves (ie support of the Constitution). However, since the label has been hijacked by the Progressives it now means they are willing to accept ‘reasonable’ limitations on freedom. Those limitations are only reasonable if they support the Progressive agenda of creating a Socialist utopia. Maybe she meant to say she supports the Conservative view that the Constitution protects our right to freedom of expression.
