Suicide watch at CNN? RuPaul’s ‘Drag Race’ beats Piers Morgan
Just when we thought that CNN’s ratings problems couldn’t get any worse, Monday’s ratings show up to remind us just how wrong we were.

Morgan’s overall numbers look dismal when compared with Hannity and Maddow. The 545,000 viewers are 1/2 of Maddow’s and less than a 1/3rd of Hannity’s.
But it gets worse. Monday night’s cable ratings also showed that CNN’s prime time show was beaten by RuPaul’s Drag Race.

From the Logo Press release:
NEW YORK, NY, January 29, 2013 – Monday night’s 9PM season five premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” worked the ratings runway, averaging a .8 rating in the P18-49 demo. This number represents a 33% increase over Logo’s previous top-rated season premiere (fourth season premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”) and clocks in as the highest-rated season premiere in Logo history. Additionally, the 90-minute, “Rupersized” premiere tallied 565,000 total viewers tuning in to meet the new cast of 14 drag queen hopefuls who will fight it out to be crowned “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”
CNN is apparently aware of their issues as new President Jeff Zucker is already making changes. Mr. Morgan’s ratings and his $6 million-per-year salary is likely to be getting the attention of the new boss.
