Fox News drops Dick

Republican Pollster Dick Morris is following Sarah Palin out the door at Fox News.

Via Deadline.com:

“His contract is up and we will not be renewing it, ” a spokesperson for the news network confirmed today. A perpetual presence during last year’s Presidential election, Morris has not been seen on FNC since November 12.

Morris’ credibility took a big hit after the general election, which he had said would be a landslide for Mitt Romney. It turned out President Obama won reelection handily. Morris later said on Fox that he had predicted the Romney victory right up to election night because “I felt it was my duty” to rally voters that were “not optimistic.”

The liberal Media Matters watchdog reported yesterday that Morris had not been seen on the channel since Nov. 12.

Fox announced in late January that it would not be renewing Palin’s contract.

It so funny how the right-wing is ditching Karl Rove and Dick Morris. I still remember how before the election, these same guys were fawning over the predictions made by “pundits” such as George Will, Michael Barone, Dick Morris, and your very own, Glenn Beck. They all predicted over 310 electoral votes for Romney and everyone on The Blaze was speculating about riot activity in Democratic controlled areas after the “landslide” that never happened. I bet everyone here wet their pants after Karl Rove contested the Ohio result on Fox in hopes for a comeback victory.

Feels good to have a first row seat to witness the epic implosion of modern conservatism. Welcome to the New America, get used to it.

For an entertainment media group that particularly emphasizes the element of “visual appeal” (especially the ladies) in its cast of personalities then it looked (to me anyway) like Morris had at times gone out of his way to become the exception to the rule….

Let’s face it…..entertainment media has less to do with content and more to do with the eye of the beholder than anything else….

Of course, Morris also has a checkered past and garnered unwanted attention during his well-publicized encounter with a DC prostitute back in 1996, so I am surprised that the ‘conservative’-leaning FOX audience has tolerated Morris for this long.

As always, Morris will land on his feet though and he’ll probably take the path that many other ex FOX personalities have taken: MSNBC (LOL!)

Morris would probably fit in better over there anyway…

If only they would get rid of that sleezeball known as Karl Rove.

Amen, now. I second that notion – get Karl Rove out of there. From the conservatives with whom I am faqmiliar, Rove is the furthest from their ideologies. He’s a moron.

They dropped him because he purposely lied about the election. Too bad the other networks won’t follow suit when one of their on air personalities do the same, time after time after time.
