For Rubio & TIME, what a difference 2 years makes
Have you seen the cover of the latest issue of TIME magazine? It puts the spotlight on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, the so-called “savior” and “new voice” of the Republican Party:
The tone of this cover seems to signal a big shift in TIME’s impression of Rubio. Just two years ago, the magazine marked Rubio’s election with a very different sort of cover story. In 2010, TIME didn’t see Rubio as the voice of the party; he was a “party crasher” who won by riding a wave of “voter rage”:
What a difference a couple of years makes, huh?
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Marco Rubio, March 2009
:
“I am strongly against amnesty. The most important thing we need to do is enforce our existing laws. We have existing immigration laws that are not being adequately enforced. Nothing will make it harder to enforce the existing laws, if you reward people who broke them. It demoralizes people who are going through the legal process, its a very clear signal of why go through the legal process, if you can accomplish the same thing if you go through the illegal process. And number two, if demoralizes the people enforcing the laws. I am not, and I will never support any effort to grant blanket legalization/amnesty to folks who have entered, stayed in this country illegally.”

Marco Rubio – January 16, 2013
Sen. Marco Rubio’s immigration plan earned a measure of praise from the White House. And why not? It looks a lot like a White House plan from 2011.

The White House has said Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s immigration plans, which could legalize the status of some of those unlawfully in the country, “bode well for a productive, bipartisan debate.”
A reason for that optimism: Rubio’s ideas and comments closely mirror those of President Obama in a 2011 policy speech in El Paso Texas.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:35amI like Rubio… a lot. I think he’s a great addition to the conservative movement. But, with that said there’s one simple problem with him. It’s the same problem that the current pResident has. Rubio is NOT a “natural born citizen” of the United States.
The founders didn’t get into the “definition” of that term in the Constitution for a reason. That term was only used once prior to being used in the Constitution and they were ALL very familiar with the definition. If you check the “Law of Nations” (1758) by Emmerich de Vattel where it was first used the meaning and definition are VERY clear.
The current prez is an American nightmare. I get that. And Rubio would make a good president. But, two wrongs don’t make a right. The law is the law and the Constitution is the Law of the Land.
I know there will be those out here on this blog that will vehemently oppose what I’ve written. That’s ok. All I ask is that you read and get familiar with de Vattel’s natural born information. The Founders did.
