Meet “Chesty” – the 9-week-old purebred English bulldog that recently arrived at the headquarters of the Marine Barracks in D.C.

The little guy will be put through some serious obedience training (think Boot Camp) and be ready to represent the Corps some time in early April.

Posted on February 19, 2013 at 9:13pmIt’s NOT “hoo-rah.” It’s Oo-rah. Get it right. Every marine I served with can’t stand it when writers get USMC jargon wrong. One more thing. We’re not soldiers. That’s the army.

He’s a fine looking recruit. My friends daughter was the base dog handler for the bulldog at Parris Island. It was a great billet.
