Of course, because what other issues would the American Secretary of State be concerned about these days?
“We as a nation must have the foresight and courage to make the investments necessary to safeguard the most sacred trust we keep for our children and grandchildren: an environment not ravaged by rising seas, deadly superstorms, devastating droughts, and the other hallmarks of a dramatically changing climate,” said Kerry, according to prepared remarks. …
Kerry called for collective action to deal with this problem. “So let’s commit ourselves to doing the smart thing and the right thing and truly commit to tackling this challenge,” he said. “Because if we don’t rise to meet it, rising temperatures and rising sea levels will surely lead to rising costs down the road. If we waste this opportunity, it may be the only thing our generations are remembered for. We need to find the courage to leave a far different legacy.”
Awkwardly enough, he then paused mid-speech to thank his sign language interpreters…
How delightfully weird.

Feb. 21, 2013 at 9:15amMAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING IS A MYTH. It is a myth perpetuated by the government to tax us, control us and has allowed many snake oil salespeople to make a living off of crying ‘the sky is falling’.
The fluctuation in the climate is a natural occurrence. There was a warming era during the medieval period (around 1000 to 1200 AD), followed by a cooling period.
Since the end of the 17th century the ‘average’ global temperature has be rising, slow and steady, and then from 1940 to 1970 temperature dropped – ‘Global Cooling’ became a new political cause.
The mainland Antarctic continent is cooling and ice is thickening on both Greenland and Antarctica.
The government is pushing a United Nation’s study on the environment, but deleted two key statements indicating there is “no clear evidence that climate changes are linked to increases in greenhouse gases”, along with “no study can prove any climate changes are man-made.”
Certainly the US government misunderstood the report. (sarc)

Feb. 20, 2013 at 9:24pmIsn’t it ironic how very wealthy people like Kerry, who own yachts, planes and several homes and cars…think they can stand before the peasants and dictate that WE now must give up any luxury or hope thereof… of things WE own that run on electricity or fossile fuels, due to this man made disaster. Michael Bloomberg, Al Gore, and the entire Left…go shove it up your collective ass! When I see you give up your jets and mansions…and start burning candles for light, and riding your bikes to work, I’ll give you some cred, but until then… read the aforementioned instructions on what you can do.
