Soledad O’Brien may not ‘fit the direction’ CNN is headed

The New York Post reports, based on an unnamed source, that Soledad O’Brien may be out at CNN.

“Soledad is talented at producing in-depth, serious pieces of journalism, and is a tough interviewer,” NYP‘s source said. “That doesn’t seem to fit the direction the network is going.”

It’s the latest potential shoe to fall at CNN. Since Jeff Zucker was named president of CNN Worldwide late last year, several big changes have been made to CNN’s anchor and contributor lineup.

Back in December, O’Brien told the New York Times she was “thrilled” to work with Zucker, who was her boss during her tenure at NBC’s Today.

Buh bye Soledad…. when are they going to kick the rest of the loons to the curb and get back to reporting all the news, with real journalists?
