Too many Democrats, Republicans think Olive Garden serves ‘authentic ethnic food’

An alarming new food survey by Public Policy Polling reveals that far too many Americans think Olive Garden is a legitimate Italian (pronounced “Eye-Talian” for greater effect) restaurant.

And it’s a bipartisan problem:

[W]hile Republicans narrowly believe that Olive Garden constitutes ‘a quality source of authentic ethnic food’ (43/41), Democrats (41/44) think it does not.

Everybody knows Olive Garden is the Ed Hardy of restaurants.

The survey also found that…voters in both parties prefer Coca-Cola to Pepsi, enjoy dinner as their favorite meal of the day and view fast food more negatively than positively.

    Olive Garden is as Italian
    as Rice a roni is Chinese;
    as Aunt Jemima is soul food.

    ;^>A Portillos beef? That’s –definately Italian.
