In his interview with Field & Stream magazine, Vice President Joe Biden blindly encouraged concerned homeowners to fire shotgun blasts at potential intruders through the front door.  Yeah, that seems like totally legit advice, right?  (ha.)  Tell that to the 22-year-old Virginia Beach man who is facing criminal charges for doing exactly that.  

As it turns out, the Joe Biden School of Gun Safety is not an accredited institution.

Local TV station WAVY 10 reports that the man observed two masked men leaning into his bedroom window. The men allegedly had weapons and told him to close his bedroom door. He stepped outside of his bedroom and did as instructed, then fired his shotgun through the closed door and then several more times at the window.

According to the news report there were no injuries and the suspects were not apprehended by police.

The man is now facing charges for reckless handling of a firearm.  Perhaps he should invite Biden to provide “expert” testimony at his trial.
