NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams said on Alec Baldwin‘s New York radio program yesterday that he has “profound disappointments” in the United States.
“I have the same disappointments in my patriotism,” he said. “As a great man once said, I yield to no one. I love this country. I love the American idea. I have profound disappointments in my country. I feel we ought to be in space … because it meant so much to us … technologically. It moved us along.”
Williams’ remarks come just after… conservative radio hosts Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck (who owns TheBlaze) both said they’re “ashamed” of the U.S.
“For the first time in my life I am ashamed of my country,” Limbaugh said during a commentary on President Obama‘s handling of automatic federal spending cuts known as sequestration.
Beck’s own “ashamed” moment came after Vice President Joe Biden delivered a speech in Connecticut calling for new gun regulation.

There is no main street business taking place. Even Walmart took a hit. No one has extra money to spend.The Takers took the election along with databases and fraud working together. The poor will stay poor or become poorer. The working poor struggled more than ever. The middle class, well… is there a middle class anymore? And the elites remain elites. No….they’re now ultra elites. They had to shake off the rest of us in order to climb higher in their twisted minds. We should be ashamed. This nation would be unrecognizable to most of us 30 years ago. No one would have believed we could sink so low. Brian and other government media schills should be happy. They got what they wanted.Oh wait, miserable commies, are never miserable enough.

Mar. 5, 2013 at 1:25pmCan’t say I am ashamed or disappointed in my Country. I am,. however, ashamed and disappointed over the men and women we have elected to lead this Country. I’m ashamed that even in the most critical of times these men and women cannot put the Country’s best interest to the forefront. That political ideology rules. I am disappointed to continue to watch our President fail to lead. Fail to take our dire fiscal situation seriously. Choosing, instead, to roam the Country in a never ending campaign mode, seeking to continue to destroy the Republicans by dividing the Country racially, socially and financially. “We the People” … will we step up to the task that awaits us, or will we continue to act as dumb sheep? Time will tell.
