Irish radio reporter tells Biden he keeps press ‘in the dark’
Ireland Prime Minister Enda Kenny visited Vice President Joe Biden‘s home in Washington Wednesday morning for the traditional St. Patrick’s Day breakfast. (Delayed due to St. Patrick’s Day falling on Sunday this year.)
From a White House pool report by Simon Carswell of The Irish Times:
As the vice president, Mr. Kenny and his wife posed for photographs on a sunny but cold morning, Mr. Biden joked with the press assembled outside his Washington home.
“We never keep the press in the cold,” he said. “In the dark,” said Justin McCarthy, political correspondent with Irish radio station Today FM. “Yes, the dark – good line,” said Mr. Biden.
