The world can’t seem to get food and clean water to starving children in Africa, but Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg wants to make sure everyone has access to the internet:

Facebook announced an effort on Wednesday to bring the Internet to the 5 billion people around the world who currently lack access.

The project, called Internet.org, is a partnership with tech giants Ericsson, MediaTek, Nokia, Opera, Qualcomm and Samsung.

In an interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained that he believes “connectivity is a human right.”
