Former NBA star Dennis Rodman‘s controversial trips to North Korea — he’s described them as “hoops diplomacy” — are getting the Hollywood treatment.

20th Century Fox has purchased “Diplomats,” a comedy pitch based on Rodman’s bizarre, two-time trysts with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rodman drew fire from the news media, most memorably CNN’s Chris Cuomo, for the stunts. Though he maintained that the trips weren’t meant to be political, He was pressed to comment on the rogue country’s poor human rights record.

After Rodman’s last trip to North Korea in January, he entered rehab for alcoholism.
