MSNBC host Al Sharpton is famous for being an enthusiastic and passionate public speaker.
But he’s also known to have difficulty following a teleprompter and pronouncing even common words.
For example, since the 2011 launch of his cable show, “PoliticsNation,” Sharpton has managed to mangle words such as “tortoise,” “Beijing” and “hubris,” instead pronouncing them “tore-tees,” “bee-zing” and “hue-breeze.”
Sharpton, who also has a curious habit of repeating himself as well as President Barack Obama’s speeches, has also flubbed the pronunciation of celebrity names, including Rush Limbaugh, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and actress Sigourney Weaver.
