The Lone Star State’s proudly conservative senator talked about the situation in Iraq, Obama’s ongoing failures and scandals, the Left’s efforts to turn his state from Republican red to Democrat blue and also about Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential chances, stating, “I think Hillary Clinton is very, very beatable.”

The Ted Cruz interview starts at the 6:25 point of the podcast.

During the “Hot Seat” portion of the interview, Senator Cruz shared some relatively unknown personal details. When asked if there was anything about him that his constituents would be surprised to learn, Cruz did not hesitate, stating, “I was bitten by an octopus.” The incident happened when he was a small boy on vacation in Mexico.

Cruz also admitted to never leaving home without his iPhone, a device that he says is loaded with the game Candy Crush, and the movies, “The Godfather” (the first one, although, he is a fan of all three) and “The Princess Bride.”
