Fresh off its release on June 2, Dinesh D’Souza’s “America” has been a major commercial success. It is currently the third best selling hardcover in Amazon’s Politics & Government section and the 44th ranked book overall on the site.

And now it has joined the coveted ranks of other New York Times bestsellers.

After initially being suspiciously omitted from the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction Best Seller List, “America” cracked the top 25 nonfiction titles, clocking in at No. 17 in the July 13 edition of the influential list.

Reader reviews of “America” have been heavily positive, with an Amazon rating of 4.7/5.0 based on 93 reviews, and a 4.68/5.00 on Goodreads based on 50 ratings.

However, the book has been seemingly left untouched by the press, a surprise given its commercial success and strong reception by readers.

D’Souza released his accompanying, eponymous documentary on July 4 (trailer here), which will likely cause sales of the book to jump further. The author and filmmaker recently appeared on The Glenn Beck Program to discuss the film with Dana Loesch.

Audience responses to the film have been generally positive, while the mainstream media has given the film predictably low marks — a disparity best illustrated on movie review site Rotten Tomatoes.

Blaze Books has provided extensive coverage of the book, the full array of which you can find below:

Be sure to listen to the full audio of our explosive interview with D’Souza (below), in which we cover such topics as the left’s disingenuous championing of the “little guy,” the twisted historical narrative being taught in schools today, illegal immigration, the man who shaped the dastardly tactics of both the current…and if the left gets their way, future president, D’Souza’s movie and much more.
