Meredith Jessup

Assistant Editor Meredith Jessup is a displaced Midwesterner, keeping an eye on things in the nation's capital for The Blaze. A native of Michigan, Meredith earned her degree in political science and history from The George Washington University. Prior to joining the team, she worked as an associate editor for Townhall.com and as contributing editor for Townhall Magazine. She has also worked in a number of public service capacities in and around Washington, D.C., including internships in Congress, the U.S. State Department and the White House. Meredith is a self-proclaimed history nut and when she's not busy soaking up news and politics, she likes to travel.
