Is Donald Trump Right on Immigration?

While Donald Trump takes heat for his remarks on illegal immigration, it turns out he may be right. Crime statistics can tell us a lot about illegal immigrant criminals.

They say numbers don't lie.

Then neither does Donald Trump when it comes to illegal immigration.

While Donald Trump continues to make waves with his recent comments regarding illegal immigration, FBI crime statistics and other data reveal an interesting revelation: Donald Trump was right.

Although "the Donald" could have made his point in a gentler manner and perhaps not risked his merchandise being dropped by the hypocritical Macy's department store nor risked his "Celebrity Apprentice" being dropped by NBC, Trump is certainly onto something.

According to the United Nations - which is no conservative think tank - 97 percent of the illegal immigrants who enter this country clandestinely do so via the Southern border between the U.S. and Mexico.

The House Committee on Homeland Security has also reported:

"Not all illegal aliens are crossing into the United States to find work. Law enforcement officials indicate that there are individuals coming across the border who are forced to leave their home countries because of criminal activities. These dangerous criminals are fleeing the law in other countries and seeking refuge in the United States.”

According to Federal Bureau of Investigation crime statistics, 95 percent of arrest warrants in Los Angeles are issued for illegal immigrants, not American citizens.

Seventy-five percent of the people on law enforcement's "Most Wanted" list in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Albuquerque are also illegal immigrants.

In addition, 53 percent of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.

The FBI also reports that a whopping 25 percent of inmates inside California's state prisons, county jails, and municipal detention facilities are Mexican nationals. Not Swedish nationals, British nationals, Middle Eastern country nationals; but, Mexican nationals. On a larger scale, the annual cost to house these criminal illegal immigrants nationally is $1.6 billion and growing.

These individuals are not simply incarcerated for being here illegally although that, too, is a crime. These illegal immigrants have been charged with and convicted of committing burglaries and felony crimes such as car thefts, aggravated assaults and yes, wait for it ... rape.

Talk about an actual "War on Women."

Just one year after Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake - who was reportedly responsible for ordering police to stand down during the riots after the death of Freddie Gray - declared Baltimore a "sanctuary city" for illegal immigrants, federal law enforcement arrested an illegal immigrant for the gruesome rape of a 9-year-old girl.

In Arizona, another illegal immigrant was charged with 47 counts of rape, kidnapping, and sexual assault of a minor which were all proven by DNA test results.

And the list goes on.

According to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement report provided to Congress, just 1,000 illegal immigrant criminals tracked by ICE "had amassed nearly 88,000 convictions among them including 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions, and 16,070 drunken- or drugged-driving convictions."

That's right, illegal immigrants are getting behind the wheel as well.

Even the liberal New York Times has reported that approximately 4.5 million illegal immigrants drive in the U.S. despite having no drivers license, no insurance, and no registration.

The Office of Immigration Statistics at the Department of Homeland Security reports that of the nearly 200,000 deportations of illegal aliens over a one-year period, nearly 25 percent had committed criminal traffic offenses, primarily driving under the influence. Congressman Steve King (R-IA) reports that illegal immigrant drunk drivers kill 13 Americans every day — that’s a death toll of nearly 5,000 people per year.

A recent case of this occurred in Oklahoma where a local, beloved sportscaster killed by an illegal immigrant driver with no drivers license but who was in possession of cocaine at the time of the incident. The driver had been deported three prior times to Mexico, but had returned to the U.S.

Another case in Virginia involved an illegal immigrant on a special get-out-of-jail monitoring program who killed a nun while he was on leave. What could be more indefensible than killing a nun?

Yet defend they do, those liberals.

Democrats are so desperate for a permanent voting majority that they would be willing to put the American people in harm's way - literally - for the sake of expanding their voter base.

Sure, Donald Trump could have been gentler with his remarks but the cold, harsh reality is that Americans have seen the dangers to their communities firsthand; that is why Trump is striking a chord with the American people.

With Trump now surging in the polls, he has become a target of the more moderate GOP wing who will do everything they can to stop him.

The question now is: if Donald Trump is not elected to stop the flood of illegal immigration, then who will?
