Talk Show Queen Oprah Winfrey is slated to ride off into the syndication sunset on May 25th, but she's not going without filling her saddlebags full of sponsor's cash.
According to reports filed today, a 30 second spot on the last show will cost $1,000,000. That's more than sponsors shelled out for the series finales of hit prime time shows like '24' and 'Lost.' (If you were wondering, '24' sold spots for a paltry $650,000 per :30 while 'Lost' managed to score $900,000 per spot.)
After the finale airs, Oprah will pack up all of her old tapes and shuttle them over to OWN, the eponymous network launched last year.
For the record, the Obamas will NOT be guests on the finale, but they are making an appearance in the last month of the Oprah broadcast era. First Lady Michelle and the President will be taping a very special episode of the Oprah Winfrey program on April 27th, with a scheduled air date of May 2nd.
