"I love that song."
He's no Barack Obama.
That's the conclusion after Mitt Romney was captured singing "America the Beautiful" during a campaign stop in Florida yesterday. The 2012 contender broke out into song while with a group of potential senior voters. And while the idea was touching, the delivery left something to be desired. It comes just a couple weeks after Barack Obama wowed some with his recitation of a classic Al Green song.
Still, it was a patriotic moment that will likely score him points on the trail, especially considering the crowd joined him in the verse. But it might not get him a spot on the choir. See, and listen, for yourself:
As the Washington Post notes, Romney's been referencing the song during his stump speech. I guess it was only a matter of time until he sang it.
