Disturbing: Hidden Cameras Found in Women's Locker Room

Several hidden cameras were discovered in a women's locker room at a Wisconsin fitness center, leaving some customers so scared they've vowed to never enter the gym changing room again.

What's worse, police say the cameras may have been recording images for several months.

"We are not sure how many times that this occurred," Pleasant Prairie Police Chief David Smetana said to CBS Chicago.

The investigators said the video recordings may date back more than three months, and have arrested two individuals police say are responsible for setting up voyeuristic operation.

Police arrested Melissa Wenckebach, a 27-year-old member of the RecPlex, and charged her with “depicting nudity” after two cameras were found inside her locker. Police say the felony count is also expected to be filed for a Waukegan man who arrested after a number of electronic images from the gym were found in the 36 year-old man’s home.

According to CBS Chicago, Wenckenbach has been a member of the gym since January, when the recordings are believed to have started, but police didn't comment as to how the man may have been involved.

“We don’t really know at this point. We don’t know the extent of their roles. She placed the cameras in that locker with the intent of obtaining video and images on it and he was involved in it as well,” Chief Smetana said.

Police said they are asking for potential victims to contact their investigation team.
