Nirvana Co-Founder Reveals Why He Is No Longer a Democrat in Wide-Ranging Interview
June 20, 2014
"What’s the definition of insanity?"
Krist Novoselic, the co-founder and former bassist of Nirvana, says he was once an active member of the Democrat Party but it eventually became clear it was badly in need of reform that may never happen. After about four or five years, he says he decided to leave the party for good.
In an interesting interview with Reason’s Nick Gillespie, Novoselic said the Democrat Party is a “top-down structure” and “money conduit.”
“What’s the definition of insanity? Doing the same wrong thing over and over,” he added.
Novoselic also revealed in the interview that he donated to Ron Paul’s campaign in 2007, offered some unconventional advice to Republicans and refused to say that he was a better musician than Ted Nugent.
