Sharyl Attkisson reveals 'the most chilling thing' her sources told her

Brian Nole of TheBlaze Radio Network authored the post below.

With his extensive knowledge of the U.S. federal government's proper role in American daily life, and his experience working in both the C.I.A. and American media, Buck Sexton never hesitates to expose government overreach. On Thursday, Buck was joined by someone directly targeted by the Obama administration, former CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson.

In her new book, Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington, Attkisson shares several details of her experiences as an investigative journalist, including her realization that her personal computer had been carefully hacked into by the government. She shared these details with Sexton:

"This is what one of my sources said was the most chilling thing he found. After he was giving me the findings: how the had a keystroke program in there, how they had obtained my passwords, used my Skype to listen to audio, to infiltrate my files, to visit everything on my computer, to get at a CBS system ... he then asked, 'did you have any classified documents on this computer?' I said, 'no.' He said, 'well, there were three classified documents on there.' I thought 'I didn't put them there, how did they get there?' He said, 'the thing is, these things were in a place ... you wouldn't even know exists on your computer.'"

Attkisson also stated that "there has been a declining appetite for stories that hold powers-that-be accountable." The Obama administration has often been described as one of the most hostile toward journalists of any administration in recent American history.
