Reporter Snapped Picture of Tom Brady’s Locker — and One Out-of-Place Item Has the Internet Buzzing

"He's a great guy, for those of you who don't know him."

Donald Trump has sung NFL quarterback Tom Brady's praises often, but it appears Brady has some good feelings about the Republican presidential frontrunner as well.

According to a photo tweeted by Barstool Sports writer John Feitelberg, a red hat with the words "Make America Great Again" is sitting on display in Brady's locker.

"Tom wants to make America great again," Feitelberg wrote in his tweet.

Trump has worn similar hats in public while on the campaign trail and others are available for sale on his campaign website.

"It's well documented that Mr. Trump and Tom have a great friendship and have for many years," Hope Hicks, Trump's spokeswoman, told CNN Politics about the tweet.

According to CNN, Trump praised Brady and called him "a good friend" during a press conference after a federal judge overturned Brady's four-game suspension for "Deflategate," the scandal that stemmed from the star quarterback's alleged involvement in the deflating of footballs during the Patriots' AFC Championship win over the Indianapolis Colts last season.

"He's a great guy, for those of you who don't know him," Trump said. "He's an honorable guy and an honest guy and a truly great athlete. He is really a very good friend of mine and I just spoke to him a little while ago, he's so thrilled and so happy."

Feitelberg was arrested along with three other Barstool Sports employees during a May protest at the NFL headquarters in New York City. The four men wore Patriots garb and were protesting the NFL's punishment of Brady for the infamous deflated football debacle.

Brady, who is an independent, has expressed interest in politics in the past and has even said he has contemplated running for office someday.
