Jewish Protesters Decry Israel as 'Terrorist' State Outside Pro-IDF Dinner in NYC

A small group of ultra-religious Jewish demonstrators rallied outside the Friends of the IDF dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City Wednesday to decry Israel as a terrorist state and call for the dissembling of its military.

"We call for the stop of the state of Israel, for the end of the IDF," Rabbi Dovid Feldman, spokesman for Neturei Karta International, told TheBlaze.

"We have to admit that the state of Israel is committing terrible crimes and started this whole thing," he said.

In response to a question from TheBlaze, Feldman said he believes Israel ought to be classified as a terrorist state.

"Yes I would," he said. "What it has done, it is doing all the time. Certainly in the beginning of its existence, it committed all types of terrorism.... which is very blatant."

Feldman and his fellow demonstrators adhere to a theology which teaches Jews may only return to the Holy Land once their messiah returns.

Meanwhile, inside, hundreds attended the fundraiser dinner, for the Friends of the IDF, an organization which provides "for education and wellbeing of the men and women who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as well as the families of fallen soldiers."

Harrison Adler, an American who served in the IDF, told TheBlaze, he believes the relationship between the U.S. and Israel is more important than ever, despite bumps in the road during the last eight years.

"Its of the utmost importance," said Adler, of the relationship between the countries. "Our two countries have a symbiotic relationship. They work so well together."

"Its been a bit rocky [over the last eight years], but friendship is friendship.," he added.
