A rowdy group of protesters outside a hotel where Donald Trump was set to speak to New York Republicans Thursday evening strung up a papier mache likeness of of the Republican frontrunner while holding signs comparing him to the Ku Klux Klan.
The protester who was stringing up the effigy told TheBlaze that she would attack the candidate if he were present.
"It would take me a while, but yeah," she said when asked if she would attack the GOP frontrunner if were there. She later said she did not want to fatally wound him.
"This is just a papier mache doll," another activist told TheBlaze later in the evening. "[I] would want him to get some sort of justice for the sort of violent rhetoric he's been causing."
The protesters declined to give their names and one called this reporter a "facist."
The Secret Service, who are protecting Donald Trump, did not respond to a request from comment in time for publication.
