Terry Edge, 58, left his car running while he went into the manager's office to check his mail. Moments later, the thief jumped into the 2013 Honda Civic and tried to drive off.
But Edge wasn't about to let him go without a struggle. He latched onto the car, only to be dragged 65-70 feet down the street by the suspect, whom police described as a 25- to 35-year-old white male who weighs about 175-200 pounds.

"He's the type of man that's gonna fight for what's his,” Terry’s wife, Kimberly, told KDFW. “And that's what he did.”
Police were later able to find the car. It had been abandoned in a parking lot and trashed on the inside. Terry’s handgun, which was under the seat, is missing, and police are actively searching for the culprit.
