Irish television station scares viewers with epic Halloween prank

An Irish television station left its viewers stunned Monday night with an inventive television prank during their nightly weather forecast. The station, TG4-TV, proceeded with a normal Halloween broadcast until presenter Caitlín Nic Aoidh began her weather forecast.

After showing a map that indicated that the broadcast station was in an area with intense lightning, the broadcast appeared to show the presenter being struck by lightning and disappearing, followed by disruption, and then a static signal.

The prank made its way around the internet quickly, and while some viewers were shocked and upset, the vast majority of TG4 users applauded the television station’s humor and creativity.
