Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is projected to win Florida — a state the campaign has long-touted as a must-win for the billionaire businessman's path to the White House.
While the race was incredibly tight Tuesday night and polls have for weeks indicated a close race between Trump and Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, the GOP standard-bearer will walk away with the Sunshine State's 29 Electoral College votes.
The victory comes after both Trump and Clinton made major campaign pushes in Florida. Despite skepticism from his fellow Republicans, Trump has been predicted a win in the state, which the GOP has not won since 2004.
