National Republican Congressional Committee thinks Democrats should hire Pelosi

In an incredible display of hilarious gumption, the National Republican Congressional Committee hung a banner outside the Republican National Committee's Washington, D.C., headquarters urging Democrats to "Hire Pelosi."

Saying they appreciate former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's "hard work to doom House Democrats into political irrelevance," the NRCC banner came with a press release detailing every major instance the California Democrat insisted that her party was headed for a majority, only to be proven wrong each time.

“Nancy Pelosi has been a true friend to the House Republicans, helping us achieve the largest majority since the 1920s,” said NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin. “We sincerely hope House Democrats vote to elect Nancy Pelosi as Minority Leader, where we have no doubt she will lead them deeper into the political wilderness and ensure a Republican majority for years to come.”

Republicans on Capitol Hill are certainly enjoying their newfound control of both the legislative and executive branches. As Alyssa Farah, the spokeswoman for the House of Representatives' Freedom Caucus, put it Monday:
