Syrian Jihadi calls for Islamic State Supporters to rob drunk Christmas revelers
NEW YORK, NY - DECEMBER 14: A drunk reveler dressed as Santa Claus sings at Tompkins Square Park as he takes part in the annual SantaCon bar crawl event on December 14, 2013 in New York City. The SantaCon annual event occurs worldwide in more than 300 cities in 44 countries. In New York some community groups have established a 'Santa Free' zone that urges bars not to serve alcoholic beverages to people participating in order to dissuade incidents of public vomiting and urination in the streets. Syrian Jihadi calls for Islamic State Supporters to rob drunk Christmas revelers

Apparently the Islamic State is low on cash because one well-known jihadi fighter in Syria is calling for supporters of the Islamic State to follow Christmastime revelers who are obviously in their cups and rob them of their money and cell phones.

According to The Daily Mail, Omar Hussain, 28, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire — who was employed at one time as a security guard at English supermarket chain Morrisons giving him the nickname "Supermarket Jihadi" — used a mobile phone application to send a nearly incoherent message to supporters to rob tipsy revelers to "fund global terrorism":

‘The time of year is coming again where getting ghaneemah [war booty] from the kuffar [non-believers] couldn’t b any easier. Christmas time the kuffar are loaded with money.

Hussain notes that a few punches will knock a drunk "kafir" unconscious and that supporters should wait for them outside pubs with other Islamic State supporters to ensure they are able to rob the victim of everything they have.

Perhaps Hussain is given to hyperbole, however. In an interview with a Daily Mail reporter, he laughed at the suggestion that Raqqa, the Syrian base of Islamic State operations, was under siege. Recent reports indicate that U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter is sending 200 more ground troops to Raqqa to support the 300 U.S. special forces already deployed there.

The Syria Democratic Forces are also reportedly gaining ground in Syrian areas north of Raqqa — the so-called "capital" of the Islamic State.
