Conservative actor Scott Baio says he was assaulted over Trump support — here's who he names
December 16, 2016
LOS ANGELES (TheBlaze/AP) — Yeah, Joanie might love Chachi. But the wife of Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer? Allegedly not so much.
TMZ reported Thursday that actor Scott Baio filed a police report claiming the wife of rock drummer Chad Smith assaulted him over Baio's support of President-elect Donald Trump.
TMZ said Baio told law enforcement that Nancy Mack confronted him at an event he was attending with his elementary school kids Saturday in Thousand Oaks, California. The report says Baio told investigators that Mack attacked him by grabbing him under his arms and shaking and pushing him. TMZ said the Ventura County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
More from TMZ:
We're told Baio told cops he asked her to quiet down because kids were present, but Mack was undeterred, asking him how he could support a man who said, "Grab 'em by the pussy." Baio claims she repeatedly screamed, "Grab 'em by the pussy."Baio asked Nancy to stop, but he claims she kept repeating the comment because she felt everyone needed to hear it, cause Trump used it. Baio told cops at that point Mack attacked him, grabbing him under his arms and then shaking and pushing him.
Baio's wife, Renee Baio, repeated those claims on Twitter and also posted a picture of Mack taken from video she says she has of the incident.
Scott Baio also shared his wife's tweets. Mack didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
