According to KTBC-TV, multiple people at the University of Texas campus in Austin have been stabbed, resulting in one dead, and three injured.
The suspect who committed the stabbings is a UT student by UT Police Chief David Carter as 20-year-old student Kendrex J. White, who has been captured and put into custody.

When police arrived they identified White, who was wielding a “large, bowie-style hunting knife,” according to Carter. Officers ordered White to drop the knife and get on the ground, which White did immediately.
Carter reports that as of this time, White's motivations for the attack are unknown. The 25 students who witnessed the attack will be interviewed.
“Our prayers go out to all those affected,” said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in a statement. He also sent out a tweet, addressing the stabbing.
