Vice President Mike Pence celebrated his 58th birthday Wednesday, and Planned Parenthood marked the occasion with a fundraising pitch.

In a tweet, the lobbying arm of the nation’s largest abortion provider urged supporters to make a donation to Planned Parenthood in Pence’s name.

“Mike Pence has spent much of his political career attacking reproductive health and rights,” Planned Parenthood wrote on its website on a donation page specifically for Pence’s birthday:

In the past few months alone, he cast the tie-breaking vote to gut critical Title X family planning protections and helped reinstate the global gag rule — and make it even worse.

Let's make his birthday an occasion to fight back against the destructive policies this administration has pushed forward, this year and each to come.

Pence reiterated his support for stripping federal funds from Planned Parenthood during remarks Tuesday at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

“I couldn’t be more proud to serve as vice president to a president who stands without apology for the sanctity of human life,” Pence said.

Supporters of Planned Parenthood applauded the fundraising idea.

The organization also mocked the vice president by highlighting the support of a Pence impersonator who goes by the name “Mike Hot-Pence.”

Some Planned Parenthood supporters donated to the organization in Pence's name after the election. Planned Parenthood endorsed former secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s failed bid for the White House.
