Original story continues below.

Witnesses say a white pickup truck ran over a pedestrian and two police officers in early reports from a crash in the Adams Morgan area of Washington D.C.

People at the scene were posting videos on social media:

The DC Police official Twitter account reported, "Police Activity: 2400 b/o 18th St NW from Columbia Rd to California St NW No vehicular or Pedestrian Access."

Fox News 5 reported that two police officers were struck, and the driver was arrested.

A woman claiming to be a witness wrote on Facebook, "While out for ice cream with friends, right in front of us, a guy in that truck drove through a crowd of people, walking, on bikes, and even cops and ended up crashing into a garabage [sic] truck."

Another witness says the truck was swerving when it struck the police officers:

So far, there's no indication that it was a terror attack, but it surely puts that thought into the police after the many terror attacks in Europe where vehicles were used to plow through innocent victims.
