Fed-up conservative commentator lets his fists do the talking when antifa thugs attack him on street

Physical attacks on conservatives by masked, clad-in-black antifa thugs aren't happening only in Berkeley, California, and Portland, Oregon — the violent movement also is alive and well overseas.

Surveillance video shows Australian conservative commentator Andrew Bolt heading down a Melbourne sidewalk Tuesday when he's rushed from behind by a hooded, masked man who douses Bolt with a mixture of shaving cream and glitter, police told the Sydney Morning Herald.

But instead of letting the thug get away unscathed in the broad-daylight attack, Bolt immediately battles back.

The commentator is seen on video grabbing his attacker by the arm and then throwing a right-handed punch at his attacker's head.

And even though a second antifa punk joins his comrade as the pair push Bolt into tables and chairs —

the commentator comes right back at them, giving one a swift knee to the groin.

The courageous social justice warriors' response? They turn on their heels and run away.

Victoria police told the paper they were searching for three men: the two assailants and a third man who "appeared to be filming or taking photos," the Morning Herald reported.

Melbourne Antifa apparently claimed a connection to incident — noting on Facebook quite a different version of events, saying "some of our family in solidarity were attacked by Andrew Bolt while they were protesting today," the paper reported.

The group also called for Bolt's incarceration over his "violent, horrendous language," the Morning Herald said.

"I'm not a brawler," Bolt countered to the paper. "I had one bruised knuckle, and I don't care a stuff about it. I had a suit ruined, and I want every cent of that paid back. And I want a hefty donation to a charity of my choice."

Bolt told Fairfax Media on Thursday he's fed up with getting attacked — physically and otherwise — for his conservative beliefs:

"I am sick of people trying to intimidate me, trying to threaten me. I'm sick of the threats on my life and my reputation. I'm sick of being sued and bullied and I'm not going to take it. I'm just not going to take it. We should be free to have a debate and to walk down the street without fear of being attacked. The right to free speech has to be better protected – everywhere but particularly in Melbourne. It is ridiculous how dangerous it is for conservatives in this town to speak out. If you don't like what I say just prove me wrong. Don't threaten me, don't threaten my house, don't threaten my family, don't abuse me – just argue with me. It must be a question of the principle and not the side."

The incident took place outside a restaurant hosting the launch of "The Art of the Impossible," a book on U.S. President Donald Trump and the 2016 campaign.
