Watch: In raw exchange, Houston flood victim scorches CNN reporter for her coverage of the tragedy

A Houston, Texas, woman who was one among thousands seeking refuge from Hurricane Harvey had harsh words for a CNN crew broadcasting live from the area to interview displaced residents arriving at the shelter Tuesday.

After the woman told CNN reporter Rosa Flores about her dramatic rescue, Flores continued to press her about the traumatic event.

"We've heard of stories of mothers trying to save their children from the rushing waters. Can you tell us how that was for you?" Flores asked the woman named Danielle, who was standing in front of the camera with an arm wrapped around her child.

"Four feet of water to go get them food on the first day, yeah that's a lot of s**t," the woman responded, clearly shaken. "But y'all sit here, y'all try to interview people during their worst times — that's not the smartest thing to do."

"Like, people are really breaking down and y'all are sitting here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the f*** is wrong with us," she continued. "And you really trying to understand with a microphone in my face, with me shivering cold, with my kids wet — and you're still putting a microphone in my face."

Flores apologized several times as the woman walked away, and the live broadcast quickly cut away.
