Roy Moore gets a huge boost from an unexpected source

After announcing that it would sever ties with the Roy Moore campaign and cut off its support, the Republican National Committee reversed course Monday and got back on board with the beleaguered GOP candidate.

Breitbart News first reported the surprising turn from the RNC. “We stand with the president,” said a senior RNC official.

Why did the RNC reverse course?

Some believe it was President Donald Trump's tweets Monday morning that pushed them back in Moore's corner. Trump had tepidly defended Moore previously but appeared to fully back the candidate from his social media account.

"Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama," he tweeted.

"We need his vote on stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more," he continued.

"Putting Pelosi/Schumer Liberal Puppet [Doug] Jones into office in Alabama would hurt our great Republican Agenda of low on taxes, tough on crime, strong on military and borders...& so much more," he added.

When did the RNC suspend its support?

The RNC had suspended its support of Moore's campaign on Nov. 14 after sexual harassment allegations first arose. Since then, more women have come out to accuse Moore, but he has been vehement in denying the claims and hitting back as hard as possible.
