Woman fights attacker who pulled her from vehicle. But after he steals her cash, she has last laugh.

Gilberto Rodriguez approached a vehicle in a New Jersey parking lot just before 10 p.m. Saturday, opened the driver-side door and and pulled a 19-yearold woman out, Jersey Shore Online reported.

Rodriquez, 51, demanded money from the woman — who had been waiting for friends — but Stafford police said she fought back, the outlet reported.

Rodriguez allegedly struck the woman in the face, drawing blood, Jersey Shore Online said.

But while the attacker managed to steal her money and escape on foot, a police officer and his K-9 found a man matching Rodriguez’s description in a liquor store parking lot, the outlet reported.

The man was arrested, Jersey Shore Online said, and was identified by his victim.

Rodriguez was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, simple assault and theft — and then taken to jail, the outlet reported.

Oh, and the woman’s stolen money?

It was returned to her, Jersey Shore Online said.
