An American Muslim weighs in on Trump's Saudi speech

Today on "Pure Opelka," Mike Opelka welcomed TheBlaze's Khaled Elsebai from "The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson" to give an American Muslim's take on President Donald Trump's speech in Saudi Arabia during his first presidential overseas trip.

After thanking his hosts, Trump said "Our vision is one of peace, security, and prosperity — in this region, and in the world."

"I wish he would speak like that to Americans," Elsebai said regarding Trump's comments on Islam and Muslims, noting that the president's tone is "a lot more dividing" here in the U.S.

He appreciated that the president "called out other Muslim leaders" for allowing such a large percentage of Muslims to be victims of ISIS terror when Trump said, "A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and extremists. Drive. Them. Out."

Elsebai was also pleased with the clear message the president sent both to allies and those who harbor and fund terrorism. He criticized the moments of self congratulation and flattery between all the leaders but stated that, "overall, it was a good thing."
