Can ethnic food bring an end to racism?

Doc Thompson guest hosts "The Glenn Beck Radio Program" and explores the many types of ethnic foods that are available in the U.S. and the role they might play in promoting racial harmony.

As Doc points out, forcing racists to sample foreign foods might open their eyes to the humanity of those they despise. "Food is also culture," Doc explains. "So then you start learning about other people and understanding them. So I'm thinking that's part of the key. I mean, food solves so many other problems."

Doc then cites the example of the rise of pizza following World War II as a key reason for the rapid acceptance of Italian immigrants into American society in the late 20th century. On the other hand, he worries that a similar strategy on behalf of his ancestral home of Ireland wouldn't work nearly since "Irish food basically sucks."
