Can we break out of our tendency to divide ourselves into groups before it's too late?

Comedian George Carlin said in his book "Brain Droppings," "I love and treasure individuals as I meet them; I loathe and despise the groups they identify with and belong to."

Author Mark Manson cited a version of this when discussing how the arguably good philosophy of feminism -- that people should be treated equally -- has transformed into the dogmatic identity of feminists.

Mike Slater examined this discussion of feminism on "The Mike Slater Show," with its recent tribal identity and shunning of those who question or do not conform the culture they have created.

Mike further explored the idea that if a person expects to see sexism everywhere, they will find ways to interpret nearly anything as sexism.
