Caught on video: Pregnant woman ran over man in Walmart parking lot – here’s why
July 05, 2017
A woman accelerated across several parking spots to hit a man with her SUV in a Walmart parking lot after she saw him going through her purse.
Christine Braswell, who said she is five months pregnant, told a local news station that she wasn’t going to let Robert Raines get away after spotting him with her bag. Raines suffered minor injuries after being hit and was taken to the hospital and treated, according to Asheville police.
Both now face charges: Braswell has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, while Raines has been charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny. Jeffy Fisher had the story on this week’s episode of “The Jeff Fisher Show.”
Braswell is fortunate that the man wasn’t killed, which would have resulted in even more serious charges, Jeffy pointed out. While your first reaction to the video is to wonder why the woman suddenly ran a man over with her car, you understand better once you realize that he was stealing her purse.
“It’s even more enjoyable once you know why this car is chasing him and runs him down,” Jeffy said.
