Functions of modern immigration aren't the same as the old school immigration

Buck Sexton talks about the book "The Revenge of Geography" by Robert D. Kaplan. Buck talks about how people think this is the same type of immigration that we had in the early years of our country and it's not.

He mentions how we often pretend that this is similar to temporary waves of people coming into the country predominantly from Europe and there were stops and starts to this. Buck says that in those times the country would say, "Okay, we've got enough for now. Thank you."

Buck identifies what the true history and function of immigration is and how it has been distorted over the years.
