North Koreans aren’t allowed to get the same haircut as Kim Jong Un, the “Pat & Stu” guys learned on Thursday.
The dictator has forbidden anyone else to have the same hairstyle that he does, and the communist nation actually has a list of what haircuts are and are not allowed by the government. Both genders reportedly have 15 haircuts that they can legally choose from, and the list does not include their supreme leader’s signature style.
“I don’t know why anybody would want to [have Kim Jong Un’s haircut], but apparently they’ve made it illegal,” Pat Gray explained. “He literally owns the haircut now.”
Stu Burguiere compared North Korea’s state-sanctioned haircuts to the history of Toronto Blue Jays Cuban-born player Kendrys Morales, who was drafted as a small child to become a switch hitter in a government program to get players on the national team.
“It’s interesting to see the extent they control the lives of the people. Not only are you going to play baseball … but you’re also going to hit on both sides of the plate because that’s what we want,” Stu marveled. “You give government control of stuff, and it’s not too far until you get into this.”
