Listen: Former NPR CEO talks new book about leaving the ‘liberal bubble’
October 25, 2017
After realizing that he needed to step outside the “liberal bubble,” Ken Stern spent a year engaging with “the other side” to better understand how Republicans really live, think and talk about our country’s problems.
On today’s show, the author and former NPR CEO talked about his new book, “Republican Like Me: How I Left the Liberal Bubble and Learned to Love the Right.”
Stern is concerned about the increased polarization in our country and called for finding ways that people can compromise or at least understand each other better. If we agree on eight out of 10 issues, shouldn’t we work on those together instead of constantly fighting about the other two?
