Listen: ‘Let There Be Light’ is a Christian story coming to theaters this weekend
October 23, 2017
Not your typical Hollywood movie, “Let There Be Light” is about an atheist who has a near-death experience that challenges his view of the world. Actress and talk show host Sam Sorbo shared the story behind the new film on this week’s episode of “The Conservative Cartel.”
Sorbo, who co-wrote and starred in the movie, talked about Hollywood’s influence in our society and why it’s vital for Christians to offer something different.
“Hollywood defines our culture,” Sorbo said. “Everything that comes out of Hollywood trickles down into the culture.”
After she thought of the idea, Sorbo tapped screenwriter Dan Gordon’s talents to flesh it out into a screenplay.
“The idea just hit me … and I thought, ‘Now that’s a movie that I want to see,’” she said. Listen to the podcast to hear the full interview.
See more from Matt Locke and Rocci Stucci on TheBlaze Contributors and listen live to “The Conservative Cartel” every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET on TheBlaze Radio Network.
