Obstacles continue to block the path to Trump's wall being built

President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda isn’t looking great. A California judge has blocked his executive order aiming to withhold funding from “sanctuary cities” which shelter illegal immigrants, often even if they have committed a crime.

On Wednesday’s “Pat & Stu,” Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere discussed sanctuary cities and the White House's statement on the "egregious" ruling.

“It’s unbelievable that [any sanctuary city] actually exists,” Stu noted. “That you can just say, ‘You know, we don’t really like that law, so we’re not going to do anything about it.’”

Trump preached the importance of a “big beautiful wall” throughout his presidential campaign, but at nearly 100 days into his presidency, the border wall is still a talking point. Pat and Stu, who made a bet that Trump’s wall will never actually be erected, remained skeptical that it will ever be built.

Jeffy Fisher wondered if they have to fulfill their end of the bet if Trump builds a virtual wall. One possibility is using a combination of artificial intelligence and drones to protect the border.

“So if they have a virtual wall that covers 100 percent of the border, are you eating underwear?” he asked regarding the terms of the bet.

“This can’t be a virtual wall,” Pat specified. He insisted it needed to be “a big, beautiful wall with a big, beautiful door in it.”
