Rabbi Lapin: Here's how so many of our problems lead right back to socialism

Imagine a man who wakes up to find that a bookcase full of books has fallen over in his home. He walks outside to find that a nearby intersection is flooded, there is a series of small fires burning in the area and a freeway bridge has collapsed. He assumes that these disasters are a bunch of bad coincidences, but it doesn’t dawn on him that one root cause is behind all of them: an earthquake.

“How wrong can you get? Well, we do it all the time,” Rabbi Daniel Lapin explained on this week’s episode of “The Rabbi Daniel Lapin Show.”

In America, we are surrounded by disasters without realizing that there is one catalyst behind all of them. Increased regulation is crippling the country; bloated entitlement programs are making it acceptable to take money from some people and give it to others; and K-12 education is indoctrinating our children in big government ideals.

“They’re more interested in social engineering and promoting ideas than they are in teaching,” Rabbi Lapin said.

But even though we can see all of the problems, we miss the fact that socialism is the one root problem causing these disasters.

“’What a coincidence that all of these things have happened,’” Rabbi Lapin mimicked how Americans react to these problems without realizing the true issue. “We lose sight of what the underlying earthquake is,” he said.
