The computer will see you now -- will AI replace this time honored profession?
August 09, 2017
Unlike the industrial revolution, the artificial intelligence revolution may render humanity's role in the work force unclear at best. The CEO of IBM, Ginni Rometty, told CNBC that the future is neither white collar or blue collar, but "new collar." The company's flagship AI product Watson has been assisting medical professionals with diagnosing cancer and even genome sequencing.
Mike Slater said there might not even be a need for doctors in the future on this week's "Mike Slater Show." He described how Watson was able to sift through thousands of cancer research papers to find treatments for 30 percent more patients than human doctors could.
The AI can "read" and be aware of the 8000 new studies released daily on cancer treatment -- something impossible for even a team of the best oncologists in the world.
See more from Mike on TheBlaze Contributors channel and listen to “The Mike Slater Show” live every Saturday from 3-6 p.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
